Performance

These results were measured between two NanoPing nodes over a controlled network link with a maximum bandwidth of 1000 Mbit/s in each direction.

The throughput is what the listed device sent (upload) and received (download).

HardwareModeUpload / download (Mbit/s)
Raspberry Pi 5 (Model B)Realtime stream, 100 ms latency budget510 / 531
Intel Core i9-14900KRealtime stream, 100 ms latency budget1000 / 1000
Raspberry Pi 5 (Model B)Bonding, two Ethernet links370 / 410
Intel Core i9-14900KBonding, two Ethernet links1000 / 1000
  • On the Raspberry Pi 5, the limit was the processor: the tests used a single CPU core at 100%.
  • On the Intel Core i9, the limit was the 1000 Mbit/s link, not the processor.

Throughput on your own setup depends on the hardware, the number of carriers, the latency budget and the network itself. To measure it, add KPIs for bandwidth to your pipelines.
