KPI Display Types

When creating KPIs in Nanoping, you can choose from several display types to best suit your data. Below is a description of each type—click any item for a dedicated page with configuration tips and example screenshots.

Visual Display Types

These components determine how the data looks on your dashboard.

  • Headline – A large, prominent text display for top-level status.
  • Gauge – A radial or linear gauge perfect for visualizing utilization or percentages.
  • Value – A standard single-metric display.
  • Value Over Time – A line or area chart showing a single metric's history.
  • Value Over Time Comparison – Compare multiple metrics on the same timeline.
  • Multiple Values – Display a list or grid of related metrics.
  • Multiple Values Over Time – Stacked or multi-line charts for complex datasets.

Data Logic & formatting

These components handle how raw data is calculated or formatted before display.

  • Data Rate – Specialized formatting for bitrate (Mb/s, Kb/s) visualization.
  • Value to Text – Maps numerical values to human-readable strings (e.g., 0 = "Offline", 1 = "Online").
  • Value to Text Conditions – Advanced conditional logic for text mapping.
